What is a holographic sight?
A holographic sight is an aiming device that projects a 3D reticle into the user’s field of view using diffraction technology. Unlike a reflex sight, the point remains perfectly aligned with the target even if the eye is not perfectly centered, making it a very fast and intuitive tool for shooting on the move.
What is the role of a sight?
The sight’s role is to facilitate quick target acquisition by providing a clear visual reference (red dot, cross, etc.). It allows for more instinctive aiming than traditional mechanical sights and improves accuracy, especially under stress or low light conditions.
How does holographic technology work?
Holographic technology uses a laser and a diffraction grating to project a three-dimensional reticle into the shooter’s eye. This reticle remains sharp regardless of the viewing angle because it is not projected onto a lens but into the optical field. This allows for ultra-fast and stable aiming, even with sudden movements.
What red dot is best for shooting at 100m?
For shooting at 100 meters, it is recommended to use a red dot with a fine reticle (ideally 2 MOA or less) so as not to obscure the target at that distance. A model with integrated zoom (such as a red dot with 3x magnification) can also offer better visual comfort while maintaining quick target acquisition.
